Subscription Licensing Frequently Asked Questions
What TRAVERSE software products are available on a subscription basis?
TRAVERSE desktop and C/S are both available on a subscription basis. Advanced
Financial Analyst and Advanced Information Analyst are not available on a
subscription basis at this time.
How does invoicing work?
A setup charge equal to one month's fee, plus an amount representing the first
month and the final month's subscription license fee is due in advance. Monthly
invoices will be issued by Open Systems thereafter. Invoices are due by the
first of the month. Credit card and company check will be accepted.
What benefits can I expect from obtaining software on a subscription
basis?
 | You will receive a complete solution immediately. By agreeing to pay on a
monthly basis, you are able to receive the entire solution without paying the
total cost up front, therefore reducing the total cost of obtaining the
solution. |
| Subscription Licensing is cost-efficient; it allows startup companies and
those with limited financial resources to get their business started on a
technology proven solution at an affordable price. |
| Because of the low monthly payments, you can add additional applications
or users to make your system more efficient. You can also leverage your cash
for use in your business rather than having it tied up in infrastructure. |
| You will always have access to the latest version and all fixes, since the
Continuous Enhancement Subscription (CES) is included. |
What if I decide I want to purchase the software?
You may terminate your subscription agreement at any time by purchasing the
software. You will receive a discount of 5% off the suggested list price for
each year you have subscribed, up to a maximum discount of 25%.
Is a discount offered for a longer subscription term?
Yes, there is a discount depending upon the term of the subscription agreement.
Are there any tax benefits to Subscription Licensing?
Yes, you may deduct your monthly subscription payment as an operating expense,
thus reducing the net cost of Subscription Licensing. Please consult your tax
advisor for details.
How do I qualify, and how do I apply?
Qualification is automatic. Contact your Authorized TRAVERSE Reseller to apply.
